MX
Procion MX is a fiber-reactive, "cold-water" dye for cellulose based fibers: cotton, linen, rayon and silk.
No heat is required, so this process can be done in a bucket, or even a washing machine. The container must be large enough for the fiber to move freely.
You must have soda ash. Without soda ash, the color will not bond, or 'stick' to the fiber. If you want a solid color, common table salt will also be used. For tie-dyeing, a chemical called urea is used.
Below is a color chart of the colors we stock. All colors can be mixed to create new colors.
